Our MELT at the MRC Series March Offering
4th Saturdays
Heart centered inclusive community exploration and celebration, in a barefoot sacred setting.
Saturday, Mar 28th
Mixing the devotional medicines of SEMA, Cacao, Music & Dance, this month’s offering includes a melting of artists and cultures from India, Iran, Iraq, & Leverett, MA.
Māh Ze Tār is propelled by the vision of fusing traditional eastern music with modern electronic composition as a form of cultural preservation. Each Māh Ze Tār set is uniquely dynamic- The listener can expect to hear the ancient sounds of the Sitar and Oud in one song and the timeless melodies of the Hulusi, Ney and Duduk in the next- bringing a kaleidoscope of emotions through the wide plethora of ancient sounds, mesmerizing vocals, and grooving beats. Māh Ze Tār seeks to make familiar that which seems “other” through serving the sounds of distant lands on a platter of familiar body moving bass lines and thumping grooves. Māh Ze Tār is an active performing member of Balkan Bump and has had significant musical collaborations with Desert Dwellers, David Starfire, Jef Stott, Morillo, Akriza, Nyrus and many others. Notable performances- Red Rocks, Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Gem & Jam, Joshua Tree, Lucidity, Symbiosis, Oregon Eclipse, Burning Man, Oregon Country Fair, Haurkaze Tokyo Festival.

Omar Aena, is a world music DJ, conscious event producer, and cultural storyteller with roots in New York City and branches around the world.
His journey is one of bridging worlds—honoring his Iraqi heritage while embracing the diversity of his hometown; walking the Sufi path while resonating with Truth from many of the world's wisdom traditions. He is particularly drawn to the transformative power of sacred music and dance as vehicles to connect hearts and souls with their Source.
His mission is to create spaces where people can connect with their deepest, truest selves and shine their light in service to collective liberation. Whether facilitating intimate devotional gatherings in NYC, DJing an Ecstatic Dance, leading international pilgrimages to sacred lands, or producing films that illuminate spiritual music and dance traditions, each offering is an invitation to awaken to our true nature.
INCUS w/ Gargie Verma (Halo)
Incus, led by Jason Cohen, is a genre-bending musical project known for blending spiritual, and earthy sounds with high-energy, percussive elements to create transformative, participatory performances. Heavily focused on community, nature, and healing, the group has performed at festivals like Burning Man, Envision, and Unifier. Jason is being joined by Gargie Verma (Halo).
Gargie Verma @mamaindiamusic is an award-winning, genre-defying artist whose voice carries the soul of centuries and the spark of modern fire. Gargie's journey began in a traditional Vedic Hindu family in India, where she was immersed in ancient devotional music from birth. But her destiny was far from conventional. Gargie & Jason met at a SEMA Sufi ceremony, singing in the Qawalli tradition over Jason’s fire circle ceremony inspired chants.
They will be joined by Richard Anderson on percussion.
